The Woodcreek Freshman fell to 4-4 (1-3 in league) as they dropped a hard-fought SFL game to Rocklin, 20-6.
Rocklin got on the board first, scoring twice in the first quarter. One came on a 90 yard run, and the other on a short run coming after a Woodcreek fumble.

The 2nd quarter was dominated by defense as neither squad was able to crack the goal line. Defensive back Michael Daw came up big for Woodcreek, stopping a Rocklin drive with an interception.

Woodcreek started the 3rd quarter on a high note as they recovered the on-side kick. Unfortunately, they were unable to capitalize as they were intercepted on the next play. Rocklin went on to score to increase their lead to 20-0.

Woodcreek finally got on the scoreboard with an exciting 51 yard TD run by Mitchell Layton.

Neither team was able score in the 4th quarter, as both teams struggled with turnovers.

Woodcreek is on the road next Thursday, traveling to Nevada Union.
