Freshman Beat SFL Rival Roseville 26-21

The Woodcreek Freshman improved to 4-2 (1-0 in league) as they opened SFL play with a come from behind victory over rival Roseville High School 26-21.
 
The first half was all Woodcreek, as they jumped out to a 14-0 lead behind the strong running of Mitchell Layton, who scored both touchdowns.

In the 3rd, Layton scored again giving Woodcreek a comfortable 20-0 lead. Then the momentum shifted as Roseville mounted a comeback, scoring two touchdowns to end the quarter down 20-14.

Roseville continued their scoring ways by striking first in the 4th quarter and taking a 21-20 lead.

With the clock winding down, Woodcreek was able to answer with a scoring drive of their own, capped by a dramatic 49 yard TD pass from Steven Craik to Dylan Stacy.

The Woodcreek defense then went to work and shut down the last Roseville drive to end the game. Woodcreek wins a wild one, 26-21.
